The booklet consists of two, two-page spreads for presenting each of the chapters. You will find in each lesson, a brief explanation that places the chapter in the context of preparation for Confirmation, containing a brief background essay and a list of helpful resources that can be used to enrich the teaching of the lesson.

Also included in the lesson plan is a step-by-step process for teaching the lesson. This lesson plan contains materials not included in the Faith First Grade 6 Catechist Guide and focuses the presentation of the lesson as part of the sacrament preparation process. The reproducible handouts contain activities that will help the students apply and integrate the faith themes of the lesson into their daily living.

This confirmation material is based on reflections on Holy Scripture and the 1994 Catechism of the Catholic Church. It was developed over three years of preparing teenage candidates to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation. Through Group Discussion and Class Activities, this program can help Catechists teach from the Catechism of the Catholic Church in a way that reaches our teenagers.

Using games is one of the most effective ways to test and challenge your confirmation student's knowledge of the Bible and the Catholic Church. Games will create a welcoming and fun environment that encourages students to learn from others and test their own knowledge. Bible knowledge games can be used at the opening of each class, or you can save them for the end of the session just before they take confirmation.
